7 days x 24 hours = 168 IF I'm lucky, I'll sleep maybe 6 hours a day, so 7x6 = 42
126 left, during which I have to work 28 hours for sure..leaving about 100 hours (yes, I'm rounding)
and 30 minute commute each way to work, so subtract another 3 1/2 hours a week = um 96?
At least one extra shift a week, including the commute = um...My math brain just went offline.....
Now add the glorious Moonshine course with Effy Wild: Daily journaling, doodling and making To Do and Ta Da lists.
I soon skipped the journaling part and the to-do and the ta-da and concentrated on trying to sketch something every day until I got swamped by the painting part of the course.
Pathworking, researching the goddess/heroine of the month, doing an intuitive painting of her and then a composed one. I did great for Maeve, who is shown in a previous blog. But Blodeuwedd is still in process and she was for June!
Poor "Blu"! dancing between the dark and the light but with no legs, arms or hair. I love her joy in the original sketch and some golden day, I'll transfer that onto the painting. I have places for the fierce birds, and after I attach them, I'll add their details. Wonder when that golden day will be?
Her owl and her eagle remain unattached although their heads have a rough outline.
Both birds look royally pissed off. So I guess they really want me to finish their feathery faces, eh?
Let's not forget the Art Journal I thought I'd do daily, or at least weekly. Here is my first page....first and last....from almost a year ago
But that was the firsrt and last page of that one too. I didn't quite break free, and can't figure out how to post this picture the right side up.
Now I'm promising to blog for 30 days. THIS one I'm keeping, because spinning words for me is like breathing.
But High Holiday choir rehearsals and coming, starting Sunday and go twice a week. So subract 6 more hours from the week (remember the math?)
and school will begin, also twice a week, right in the middle of the HiHo's. Subtract 10 more hours from the week for class and commute time alone.
Classwork will create more promises.
So I'll have to scale down the art promises, the blog promises, the exercise promises...oh...did I forget to mention those? Um....probably cuz I "forget" to do any. Also housework, laundry, organizing, downsizing, meditating, plant watering,
I do manage to fit Cat Petting in, though. Without them, my life would not be Purr-tee.
SOME promises jump in my lap and insist on being kept.
This are great.
